Adidas and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have agreed on a five-year partnership. On Monday, BCCI secretary Jay Shah officially confirmed the sponsorship agreement.

The agreement will see Adidas become the official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team. It will go into effect with the ICC World Test Championship next month and expire in March 2028.

The BCCI and Adidas agreement consists of a number of different elements, such as a sponsorship fee, royalties from the sale of merchandise, and player and support staff kitting. According to the agreement, Adidas would pay 75 lakh for each game. Nike was paying the BCCI 88 lakh rupees each match as part of a contract that lasted until September 2020. In addition, Adidas will pay the BCCI a royalty of 10 crore rupees each year for the following five years on all merchandise sales.

According to a report, BCCI invited 20 children, including Arjun Tendulkar, to a 20-day programme at NCA.

20 promising all-rounders from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru have been called up by the BCCI for a three-week camp beginning in August. Arjun Tendulkar, the illustrious Sachin Tendulkar’s son, is one of many players who just made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for the Mumbai Indians.

The Indian cricket board is looking for young, multi-talented players who could advance quickly to the elite level, according to PTI. As a result, the NCA is planning to organize the camp.

Later this year, there will be an Emerging Asia Cup (U-23) and BCCI is scouting promising young players. A source from the board was reported by the agency as stating, “The all-rounders camp is an idea of NCA’s head of cricket VVS Laxman to guarantee that we nurture a lot of multi-skilled players across formats.

According to the article, players were chosen by the senior national selection committee, which is led by interim Shiv Sunder Das, based on their performance and potential.

Not every person called to camp is an ideal

all-rounder. Some are all-round hitters, while others are the opposite. The goal is to maximize their potential and assist them in developing new abilities necessary for the transfer to the following grade, the source noted.
